01Who we are
COLO STONE GROUP LLC (“COLO STONE”, “we”, “us”) sells assembled wooden beehive components and complete Langstroth-style sets online from Lexington, Kentucky. This policy covers this website, the bag and order request flow, and the desk form. It does not cover other websites that we link to.
Our public business address is 265 Regency Circle, Lexington, KY 40503. You can reach us using the details in the final section of this policy.
02Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send an order request we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, shipping address, the pieces and quantities in your bag, the starting total shown to you, and any notes you add. When you use the desk form we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, the topic you pick, and your message. If you use the “Carry notes to the desk” button, the short Yard Ready summary is copied into your message and sent only if you submit the form.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web host keeps server logs that can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested, and timestamps. We use these records for security and troubleshooting.
Information stored in your browser. The contents of your bag are kept in your browser’s local storage so that they survive a page reload. This stays on your device until you remove the items, send the request, or clear your browser data.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, bank details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information through this site. Please do not include them in free-text fields.
03How we use information
- To read and answer your order request or desk message.
- To check stock, work out freight, and email you a confirmation with the final total and payment instructions.
- To prepare, pack, and ship orders, and to handle returns, damage reports, and questions after delivery.
- To keep the forms safe, for example by blocking automated submissions and limiting how often a form can be sent.
- To keep business, accounting, and tax records, and to comply with legal obligations.
- To maintain and improve the site and the clarity of our product information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles. We do not send marketing email through these forms; you will receive messages from us about your request or order.
04How form submissions travel
Order requests and desk messages are sent from the site to a mailbox we control, using the mail function of our web host. Email is not end-to-end encrypted, so avoid sending anything highly sensitive. We may reply from that mailbox and keep the conversation with your request.
06Third-party resources
To display type, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details, subject to Google’s own privacy terms. As of the effective date we do not run analytics tools, advertising pixels, or social media trackers on the site. If that changes we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.
08How long we keep information
We keep order requests, confirmations, and related correspondence for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and questions, and meet accounting and tax record-keeping needs, which is generally several years. Desk messages that do not lead to an order are kept for a shorter period and then deleted or archived. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited time under its own settings.
09Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or federal law, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
To make a request, write to us using the contact details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Some records, such as completed order records, may need to be kept for legal reasons.
10Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, including restricting access to the mailbox that receives requests and using HTTPS where it is enabled for the domain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11Children
The site is intended for adults who are buying equipment. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12Where information is processed
We operate from the United States, and information sent through the site is processed here. If you visit from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States, which may have different data protection rules from your own.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows the latest revision, and material changes will be noted on this page.
